I have one son, two daughters, and am married (to the same lovely woman since 1984 (28 years and still going)).

My oldest daughter lives with her husband in Hilliard; my son is working towards his Doctorate in Pharmacy at Butler University, and my youngest is a CSG graduate and attends the University of Toledo in their Pharmacy program.

I coached both of my daughters in Elementary, High School, and Club Volleyball.

This is my 18th year coaching girls' volleyball, and my 6th season at CSG.

I played volleyball at the intramural levels while in the Army and while in college. After college (and the Army), I played in adult volleyball leagues and tournaments for many years, both indoor and outdoor. Before I finally dedicated most of my volleyball time to coaching, I was playing at least 2 times a week for many years (when it was winter we played indoor, summer we played outdoor (sand)). My teammates and I won the Championship once in the City of Columbus Volleyball league (which was pretty cool).

I regularly coach USA Club Volleyball, and attend at least 1 clinic a year, which has included USA Volleyball IMPACT, CAP I, CAP II, and CAP III (a 'super-cool' live-in course at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs).

I had one of my articles published in the American Volleyball Coaches Association magazine, in its July/August 2005 issue of "Coaching Volleyball"; here are links to draft copies of the article, from the editor who prepped it for the magazine:

I have also had the pleasure of being part of training and coaching many players who have moved on to sports at the collegiate level, to include American University, Davidson University, Dennison University, Ohio Wesleyan, University of Miami (Oxford), University of Toledo, The Ohio State University, and Youngstown University.

I work for a locally based manufacturing corporation as a Performance and Process Improvement Manager for Information Technology projects and services. I have a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from THE Ohio State University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Ashland University.

Jokingly, I can say that I am a professional musician (I have gotten paid for it), but I don't think I'm THAT good at. My other hobbies include singing, guitar, harmonica, songwriting, a little bit of Disk Jockey work (mainly Weddings and Dances), and studio recording and production.
