The Central District, Division III coaches seeding voting and seeding
  process is complete.
Out of 27 Division III teams in our district, we were seeded 12th (from the
top). I wouldn't read too much into this (good or bad); many coaches consider
only wins and losses, and not leagues, teams played, etc. (the CCL is THE
toughest league in the Central District). We all vote, get points, then select
  spots in the bracket.
  See the Seed voting results

  here.

There were 5 "byes" on the bracket, but they did not fill up as anticipated
(if someone can predict how coaches pick bracket spots, go to Vegas and
bet-the-farm!); many selections had us scratching our heads. Oh well...
We have a good starting spot in the tournament!!

To start our State Tournament, we play Bloom Carroll on Thursday, 18
October 2007, 7:30 pm at Hilliard Darby High School.

Star Chart
Athletes get "Stars" for every point they earn for the team, every "plus"
type of statistic we track, and for various other honorable mentions. We do not
take away stars for errors.
Since setters would get a lot more stars than a specific individual (cause a
dedicated setter gets credit for each player's kill), we cut assists in half for
all athletes.
For example, if Caitlin, Alyssa, and Veronique each got kills, then each one
of them would get 1 "Star"; however our setter Casey would get 3, easily
bypassing each of the other players 1 "Star". So, instead we award Casey with
1.5 Stars.
The Star Chart begins growing on our first official match. See our
Varsity
"Star" chart
here.
Before and during our season, all players should be familiar with the
resources page. Print what you find there, and keep it in a ringed binder or
booklet. It will
help you understand what we are trying to do.
We will reference these items during the season, so have your booklet with
you.
